Seadown Veterinary Group Community
The practice was established in 1923, and has always strived to be part of the local community. Our equine
team are involved with management of New Forest ponies, from vetting at the sales to attending to health and welfare of animals on the forest. We also provide veterinary treatment for several farms in the area and work with farmers to prioritise heard health. On the small
animal side, we are a holding centre for stray dogs, and work with the dog warden to reunite dogs with their rightful owners or accommodate them in the meantime. We provide veterinary cover at many local
events including the New Forest Show and the Bournemouth Dog Show.
Our recent open day gave local families an opportunity to look 'behind the scenes' at the main hospital and chat to many of our vets,
nurses and reception staff. We also run client meetings for equine and small animal clients which are a great opportunity to discuss new treatments and provoke discussion. We often raise money through raffles and donations at these events to donate to local animal charities and we thank you for your generous support.
