The rain arrived this morning, which I suppose was inevitable at some point!
We made our way through the Shrewsbury outskirts into the countryside. Darren called this the ‘rest day’ as the route was mainly flat, but it was still 71 miles to our destination!
A homemade raspberry cake powered everyone along to lunch, at which point the sun came out. After that we rode alongside the canal, past swans, ducks and boats before some more taxing navigation to the West of Manchester and into Leigh.
