Small Animal vet vacancy

 12 September 2021

Full time / Part time Small Animal Vet New Forest, Hampshire

Want to work for a strong Independent practice where clinical decisions are not constrained by corporate ethos; live in a National Park and have all the sun, sea and surf benefits of a coastal location?

With one colleague returning home and another with ambitions of climbing in the Himalayas we are looking for two new Small Animal vets. The ideal candidates will bring new ideas to the team and add to the energy and positivity of a team dedicated to excellent client care.

One of the positions would suit a candidate with the experience to undertake more advanced surgical / diagnostic procedures and the career drive / desire for a potential future management position. But if you just

want to be part of skilled and experienced team, in a strong, dynamic practice that provides plenty of support that is fine too!

Seadown is part of the XL Vets group and is a large well-equipped Small Animal Hospital with two branch surgeries. We have an experienced 12 SA vet FT equivalent team; and an 18 VN team with diploma holders in anaesthesia, emergency medicine, and surgery ensuring excellent VN support to the vets.

We provide an Ophthalmology referral service to the South of England and have visiting Orthopaedic and Exotics consultants.

CPD is actively encouraged and funded, with Certificate study / Advanced Practitioner status also being very well supported and holders financially recognised.

The position does require Out of Hours cover as part of our commitment to our clients, with 24/7 on-site VN support and generous time off in lieu of OOHs work. Flexible working patterns can be accommodated.

Salary commensurate with experience, OOH’s bonus, RCVS / BSAVA fees, and 6.6 weeks holiday on a pro-rata basis.
